About

Built on the friendship of this trio of accomplished musicians, PATIENTLY AWAITING THE METEORITE is the new project of Dee and the Grand Brothers. The three lads worked together in 2006 when the brothers produced tracks for Dee’s second album. This collaboration planted the seeds of a solid relationship and 10 years later PATM performed their first show in Toronto. Following an EP, the band was awarded the Juried Sound Recording grant from FACTOR, for the recording and promoting of Canyon Diablo.

Fast–forward to the spring of 2018, the first single "Electrified", released with a mesmerizing video (made of over 15 000 stop-motion photos utilizing the “Light Painting” technique), comes to us as a full-on dazzling electro-rock anthem song. The video has passed 106 000 views on YouTube and the single made the Playlist Of The Week on Apple Music.

Second single "Strange Intuition" was released October 19, 2018 on an Darryl Sterdan's Tinnitist appearance and was soon added on the Stingray «Loud» channel. Strange Intuition and Electrified have continuously charted in the top 25 on Stingray Alternative up to now. "Dans mon corps", the first band’s francophone single was released in November 2018 and was an instant streaming success with several Apple and Spotify playlists and heavy rotation on the Sirius «Influence Franco» channel.

In August, PATM is nominated for GAMIQ’s Best Indie Rock Album category. In November, Canyon Diablo is the Featured Album Of The Week on Generation Next LIVE on 94.9 The Rock and is heard every night at 8 pm. PATM’S singles have been aired on a regular basis on stations such as CILV 88.5 FM Ottawa, THE VERGE, SIRIUS XM, and 106.9 The Wolf, Nanaimo, Canada.

The band launched their show and vinyl December 6, 2018 at Le Ministère in Montreal, kickstarting a series of events to be announced.

“Musically this has got to be one of the most cutting bands actively recording in the world right now. It’s a strong contender for breakout album of the year, and my pick for best rock release of the late 2010s.”
